In the 20th century, the word “modern” not only meant present and fashionable, but also reflected the pursuit and desire of modernization. The Modern Trace – The Art Map of modern architecture in Macau is a printed art map introducing the modern architecture in Macau built in the mid 20th century. Through sketches of the buildings, this art map has been created for the public to learn about local culture and the urban development of Macau. 

摩登，英文MODERN的音譯，於二十世紀，有現代和時髦的意思，反映對「現代化」的追求及渴望。《摩登的線條──澳門現代建築文化地圖》是一份以澳門二十世紀中期的現代建築為主題的文化地圖出版物。透過手繪地圖的形式，為本土現代建築作一通俗易懂的紀錄，以了解本土文化及現代城市發展歷史。
