Oscar Ho Hing-Kay began to write art reviews in different local newspapers in the 1980s in Hong Kong, he hoping to integrate art into public with simple text, and also put forward different opinions and criticisms on the art policies of the time.

何慶基在八〇年代開始在不同的本地報章撰寫藝評，期望以顯淺的文字、深入淺出的作品評述，把藝術接軌大眾生活，也對當時的藝術政策提出不同的意見和批評，把藝術策展的真正意義帶到大眾的理解之中，反思藝術與香港政治、社會及文化的關係。
